the pharmacist is supposed to check your allergies.. its a safeguard in the system (obviously didn’t work)

i should have picked up on that, but my brain was just so out of it by that stage that I just took the pills without thinking about it.

The pharmacist filled the script, but they didn’t know me from a grain of salt, so it’s not their fault – they just followed the doc’s instructions.

It’s the doctor I am really pissed at… We filled out the paperwork, telling the clinic my alergies, and he completly ignored it. He didn’t even ask me what I was alergic to like he should have if he didn’t get the paperwork.

On a side note, we approached the medical board and they said my first step is to write a detailed ‘i’m really pissed off at you’ letter to the doctor and to the clinic manager. /sigh.

just a tip, check yourself even without the warning- Amoxycillin for instance ‘cillin’ in this means it has your favorite alergy..
at you have every legal right to sue him, and i’m guessing a Pharmacist was involved.. you can complain about/sue them too

but at least theres no pigs involved.. get well soon

I don't know about suing, but we will be reporting him. If we didn't notice that warning, making a complaint would be the least of my concerns. That's ridiculous! You know, people would sue their doc for that in the US lol! I'm lucky and have had the same GP since the day I was born. Which he reminds me of whenever he asks me one of those embarrasing "Are you sexually active?", "When did you last menstruate?", "How are your bowels?", types of questions ... seriously I think he has alot of fun with my discomfort :S girliegeek’s last blog post..New Toy & Killer Spam
