Well… If you’re reading this, it means WoW Fail Blog is back on the air. Why did it go off the air for 24 hours? That’s a damn good question… As the person who fixed it, I’m still not sure of that answer myself.

Our host was doing some configuration changes which ‘should have not affected your server’ that ‘seem to have affected your server’.

Basically, they moved our server from 1 server rack, to another server rack on the other side of the room, but nostalgia got the better of it, and the server spent the rest of the day vomiting all over the table… or was that Alex? Eh… either way. After staring blankly at vmware instruction guides, linux network configuration guides, support ticket responses, 312 page user guides, and a command prompt that kept eating my mouse, I was about to throw the hat in when it all suddenly started working again.

I say ‘wtf’, u say ‘…’

I honestly have no FREAKING idea wtf was wrong with it. Alex is still in Afghanibaluchapakiwaziristan (cool movie btw), and I’m glad I am on VOIP or the 2 and a half hours I spent on the phone with him would have cost me a liver (which would be a shame, since I think Alex will be needing a new one when he gets back).

Anyway.. now that we’ve got that unsavoury fact out of the way, I figured I would publicise my jealousy of his current bliss by relaying a few things that Alex has been up to.

In a word: Drinking (hey.. he IS in Russia, after all).

Those commies know how to party..

You know those Vodka Cruisers you can buy? Sure, they’re a little bit girlie, but they taste nice. Well, apparently they have a similar thing there that has Rum instead. Jealous? Yeah, I am.. especially since I can’t drink atm due to the damn drugs I’m on for this bug. I can’t even laugh at him for spending all his money either, as the drinks over there are somewhere between 1/5 to 1/10 their Australian cost.

Damn u, pseudoephedrine…
