/facesmack Saturday: Ahh… The troubles women cause

Someone once told me that having women in a raid was a bad idea. I could never understand why until I stumbled across this:
“God gave man a brain and a penis, and only enough blood to operate one at a time”
Heh, kinda reminds me of something I saw today…. you know those knitted super-tight-fitting shirt things some women wear over the top of their little hot-pants? Well, this girl (mid 20s) standing at the traffic lights remembered the shirt and the push-up bra, but that’s it – seems she forgot about putting on anything else. She’d managed to pull down the shirt to juuuuust cover her southern assets (and by just I mean -JUST-, how it was staying there I have no idea), and being that this meant the shirt was stretched, the whole world could see that she wasn’t wearing anything underneath.
Anyway, she’s just standing there at this busy intersection out the front of a Major Shopping centre (aka. ‘Mall’ for those U.S. included) and every guy in a car that’s driving pass is staring out the window looking at her, and then when they had to drive away – THEY’D TURN BACK AND KEEP LOOKING! With only one hand on the steeringwheel, guy after guy leans back over his sholder to catch another look, and each of them swerve to the left, nearly hitting a pole. Like 10 cars in a row did the exact same thing >.<
When it was finally time to cross the street, I just shook my head in disapproval at her (which was met with an amusing ‘bite me’ kind of expression, but eh). I was so tempted to just say something smart arse (no pun intended) about her inability to figure out the complexities of putting underwear on, but didn’t really feel like getting punched in the face, so I let that one ‘walk’.
Either way, rather funny way to finish an afternoon.

I think the reason I found this event particularly amusing is that a fe months ago, I saw a guy riding his bike along the footpath who did something similar.
The guy was flying down a hill and not paying attention to where he was going because he was ‘distracted’ by a woman on the other side of the road. I still remember the sound of the -THUD- as he rode straight into a sign post…
I almost rolled out of my seat laughing.
So the raid wiped because a chick said something that could be taken the wrong way? *LOL* I know lots of chicks that are hardcore raiders that would take you to task on this one. Whats hilarious is me and the Sig were talking about the stigma/stereotypes surrounding girl gamers. Since I am a gamer chick myself I played Devils Advocate a lot.
This is still hilarious that a wet shirt wiped a raid. This is also why I don’t play with 12 year olds. *L*

so well said, when i used to play wow, i played a female human mage who was my first real wow character(before you go and kill me i did switch to horde after and now have a beefy tauren druid).
Anyway sometimes people would assume that coz i played a female char, i was in real life a female. Let the lootz and gold roll!
And wow players get really angry when they get called lame? I am not saying that every wow player is lame, but it seems that majority are.
Im not against girls playing at all, in fact, i thinks its great but like in the case above i think its playing it up a bit too much. I am pretty sure she knew exactly what effect that would have if she said that her shirt was sticky.
Like seriously and stuff.

@Kanti – haha, playing with 12 year old kids in the raid always makes things interesting. When I was raiding a lot, most of our guild was in their 20s, but our main tank was 14. lol. The irony was that he was the most mature out of all of us >.<
@Alex – I agree that some girls do play it up a little, but we’re the ones who are daft enough to play along. lol. Fact is, it’s a game, and the goal is to win – if you are fortunate enough to find a way to better your chances while still staying within the rules of the game, why wouldn’t you? lol
I personally have a rule to only ever play female characters in online games. When I first started on WoW, I had 2 characters: A female gnome mage (my main) and a female night elf bank character
I never pretended that I was a girl, but because my characters were female, I got one hell of an advantage. The fact that my main was also a gnome meant that I could cause all sorts of trouble and get away with it because people thought it was ‘cute’. lol.
Are 12 year old boys gullable and simple minded? yes.
Am I going to take advantage of that fact? Hell yes.
What would I say to any girl who uses the thick-headedness of silly little boys against them? GG
The truth is that the benifits of playing female characters even extends into FPS games. Smaller hit boxes and guys will even hesitate before shooting you
They won’t hesitate for long, but it’s generally long enough for you to shoot them first. ^.^
