Well, this post darn-near didn’t happen because my internet decided to die. But with these sorts of things, it’s never a simple issue as the problems always come in 3 (which it did). So, what happened, you ask?

1. Well, I use Tel$tra DNS Servers in my router because my ISP is a cheap backwater puss-bucket with crappy little DoesNotServer’s that are useless.. Unfortunatly, tonight Tel$tras were just as useless (by ‘tonight’, I mean Tel$tra are always useless, but tonight they were EXTRA useless – that’s saying something).
2. The network cable to my Server (which handles internal DNS requests, and forwards out to Tel$tra for all internet-stuff)… well.. someone unplugged it. That tends to crap things out.
3. After finally figuring that one out, I realised that the network cable between my 2 switches (the one I’m connected to and the other one… you know, the one with the internet :-/), it had managed to get it’self unplugged as well >.<

The moral of this story is simple, and two-fold:

1. Never trust Tel$tra. Period.
2. When you Vacuum your office, make sure you don’t accedently bump out every single freaking network cable…

To be honest.. I think after today, I can kinda relate to this guy:

Well, being that it’s now 4am, and I’ve just finished an extended extended-shift packing shelves, and then fixed my good-for-nothing little-clip-thingies-broken-at-both-ends network cables.. I’m gonna go to bed. lol.
